The dangerous enlightened ideological nationalism of the West

The visit of the President of Ukraine Volodimir Zelenski to the European Parliament reaffirms the Enlightenment myth of the West, I don't know if the Europeans realizing or not the wear and tear of Enlightenment grammar, it is timely for them to flatter in Zelenski's speech to redouble their faith in the Enlightenment thought that has sustained the symbolic framework of the West, and mainly, of Europe.

Zelenski ends his speech in the European Parliament amid cheers, homage and acknowledgments from European leaders of his outdated enlightened discourse, and lets us see the pathetic condition of the West, and particularly of Europe, given the need to reaffirm its symbolic framework that has Socially and historically sustained, they give birth to the new hero of the Enlightenment, the Ukrainian ultra-nationalist Volodymyr Zelensky.

Against the background of this great need to reaffirm his identity, Zelenski intelligently elaborates a speech in which he takes up exactly the principles of the Enlightenment that gave rise to the narrative, or rather, to Western European grammar.

European leaders naively position him as the new Enlightenment hero (“wise man”), without the need to ask him for new narratives that amplify or replace that old and worn myth of the Enlightenment, of his democracy as the most “civilized” way of organizing democracy. life in society, of its republic, of its division of powers, of its freedom, and mainly, of its neoliberal economy without social justice.

Zelenski is present in a simple way and revives all that nationalism, which in the strict sense we can call nationalism because the bottom line is the reaffirmation of an identity that no longer has to do with race but with thought, with an ideology, that leaves the skin and culture aside, and only presents the soul that is built from that illustrated symbolic framework that they urgently need to reinforce.

How about an invasion and its consequent war to prevent NATO's arms expansion, we can reaffirm a narrative that is leaking everywhere, and raise violence as the only redoubt to defend and preserve it.

The world is about to enter into a dangerous nuclear conflagration as a result of this reaffirmation of the demagogic Enlightenment that Zelenski makes in the European Parliament. Without realizing it, European leaders are swept away by the great need they have to reaffirm their ideological nationalism, which paradoxically, it is not different from Slavic or Chinese racial nationalism that appeal to war to defend it.

What is striking is how Zelenski traps them, seduces them, due to the great need to reaffirm their identity, with the same thoughts as him, because there is a vacuum of intellectuals and leaders who can reaffirm their European and Western identity.

How “coincident” that a war has to be the one that catapults an irrational-radical ideological nationalist thirsty for heroism, because if we don't take notice, what is at stake from an announced war, perhaps provoked by that racial nationalist radicalism Zelensky, who knew perfectly well that Russia was not going to remain impassive to the inclination that Ukraine be a US weapons base, here it is very important to point out that joining the European Community meant joining NATO, and that the US having the need to recover its leadership, today obscured and repressed by the economic, commercial and financial impulse of China, which little by little has been leaving it behind that economic leadership, is using the war in Ukraine to reaffirm its world hegemony, its power unipolar as his hated enemy Putin accuses him, and in that purpose, he does not care about the thousands of Ukrainian deaths, and if more Ukrainians have to be sacrificed, so p Under the guise of saving "the free world", he will do so without the slightest modesty, which is why he favors the shipment of arms to Ukraine over dialogue for the end of the war, it must be borne in mind that to date there have been more than 250,000 Ukrainian deaths for that stupid war for enlightened fictions: for the ideals of justice, for democracy and freedom, in short, for what Europeans, boasting of their civility, call “universal values”.

The editor of the newspaper “el mundo” naively describes a naive and shy first moment of Zelenski, and that now, “the second, in front of the spotlight, is completely different. He feels comfortable, in his world, and there he has proved unbeatable during 12 months of bombs, death and destruction" (1), forgetting or deliberately hiding that Zelenski is an actor, what he dominates is not the art of war, nor the lore of the light period, but the art of deceiving, acting, taking a script that his advisers prepare for him and acting it, and he has done so in the midst of the ruins of the Ukrainian towns devastated by the war and the thousands of his compatriots dead, setting up television and virtual sets to transmit and make believe that the war is being won, that Ukraine is a people of valiant warriors who immolate themselves and commit suicide to defend the ideals of the Western, European, civilized world; always ready to know that the media are a powerful weapon for power and deception, we already saw him in the Kiev subway give his interview with all jokes, for the documentary that the powerful virtual streaming platform Netflix has made for him, and thus establish him as the new savior not only of Europe but of the entire "free" world, a world where a few countries have the wealth and well-being, so I would have liked to see them cover, help and unite to fight against the coup d'état promoted and operated directly by the US against the democrat Salvador Allende in Chile, and having saved his life, and to Europe to protest the attack on a Chilean democracy that came out of the power of its people.

How absurd that in order to defend an unattainable ideal such as democracy, one has to go to war and that hundreds of humans have to be sacrificed to sustain those fictitious enlightened values, which to date have not built a just and equal world, and what worse, that an actor has us on the verge of death due to the growing escalation that can lead us to an atomic conflagration between the West and Russia.

  Today we are before the prelude to a world conflagration now no longer for the sake of "the Cross of Christ", but for the "Cross of Enlightened Universal Values".
